Happy New Year
"On and on it goes to the horizon Does this road have an end? But you are a pleasant companion It is so good to have your company…"
Hello Stranger!
I guess everyone feels like a stranger sometimes, wandering in search of. . . something.
As the end of another year comes to a close, it is good to reflect and assess. What is this life all about? What have a I done with it? Did I create? Did I help anyone? Did I make the world more ugly or more beautiful? Did I give someone hope in a time of despair? Did I despair? Did I fill someone up or drain someone empty? Was there joy? Was there sorrow? Was there happiness?
After all is said and done, this life is a mystery. We journey on a road marked arbitrarily by time-posts, like the “new year” or “birthday” or “holiday”. All the days are the same really, if we’re honest. Nothing really matters except giving love and receiving love. Love is the only thing that is real, the only thing that lasts.
Thank you for joining me on my creative journeys in 2019.
Best wishes to all in the years to come!
